Cosmos Double Click Cranberries
Smothered in rich, cranberry colored double flowers, ‘Double Click Cranberries’ is a favorite with everyone who visits the farm. Long stems hold free flowering blooms that look breathtaking in bouquets. A wonderful addition to the cutting garden or flower border and one of the easiest and most productive cut flowers per square foot you can grow.
Plant type: annual
Site: full sun
Days to maturity: 75-90 days
Plant spacing: 12”
Pinch: when 12” tall
Approx seeds per packet: 50
How to Grow:
Start seed indoors in trays 4-6 weeks before last frost; transplant out after all danger of frost has passed. Cosmos can also be direct seeded once weather has warmed.
Individual blooms don’t last long in the vase, about 4-6 days, but each stem is loaded with multiple blossoms that open over a period of a week. Harvest when flowers are just starting to unfurl, but haven’t fully opened in order to prevent insects from pollinating, which will help stretch the vase life by a few extra days. Flower preservative is recommended.
