Product Description

California Poppy 'Thai Silk Appleblossom Chiffon'
Eschscholzia californica

We’ve dubbed this exquisite ruffled bloomer the poor man’s rose. Glaucous, lacy foliage reveals a profusion of crimped creamy rose petals lightly brushed with cranberry. Similar in coloring to 'Distant Drums' roses, this palette is perfect for wedding work. Versatile, drought tolerant plants are easy to grow, bloom all summer long, and are well suited for small spaces and the front of the border.

Details:
Plant type: annual
Height: 16-20”
Site: full sun
Days to maturity: 75 days
Plant spacing: 9-12”
Pinch: not necessary
Approx seeds per packet: 100

How to Grow:
Start seed indoors in trays 4-6 weeks before last frost; transplant out after all danger of frost has passed. Can be direct seeded.

Harvesting/Vase Life:
Harvest when flowers are in colored bud stage. Individual flowers don’t last long, only 3-4 days, but as they fade and drop petals, the new buds on the stem pop open, giving you at least a week’s worth of flowers.

Shipping & Delivery

Once an order has been placed, we cannot add or subtract items. If you would like additional items not included in your original order, please place a new order. We are unable to combine separately placed orders.

See our Shipping & Delivery page for detailed information about returns, refunds, and international shipping.
