Product Description

Breadseed Poppy ‘Frosted Salmon’
Papaver spp.

Huge coral-salmon blooms look just like pom-poms! When buds crack open, they reveal a white base, and petal tips are lightly frosted. After blooms fade, attractive seedpods form and persist for many months. Breadseed poppies are easy to grow and make a wonderful addition to any garden.

Details:
Plant type: annual
Height: 36-48”
Site: full sun
Days to maturity: 80-90 days
Plant spacing: 9”
Pinch: not necessary
Approx seeds per packet: 200

How to Grow:
Breadseed poppies resent transplanting and do best when direct sown. Plant directly into the garden after all danger of frost has passed. Slugs love them, so keep an eye out.

Harvesting/Vase Life:
The flowers of this variety of poppy aren’t particularly long-lasting. Cut flowers last just 2-3 days in the vase if you’re lucky. Harvest when flowers are half open, and sear the bottom end in boiling water for 7-10 seconds. Seedpods can be dried and used indefinitely.

Shipping & Delivery

Once an order has been placed, we cannot add or subtract items. If you want any additional items not included in your original order, please place a new order. We are unable to combine separately placed orders.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

Floret offers limited international shipping of seeds. At this time Floret only ships seeds to Canada, Australia (50 packet limit), and the United States.

As of November 2019, Floret no longer ships seeds to countries in the European Union. Read more about this decision and access our list of international specialty seed sources.

Please note that international orders may take up to a month to arrive and may be subject to additional restrictions or duties, which vary by country and the contents of your order.

If you are placing an order from outside the United States, it is your responsibility to understand your country’s restrictions, duties, and any special requirements in order to receive imported goods. If your country restricts packages based on the value of the contents, you must ensure that each order you place is within this limit. If you wish to order seeds or products that exceed that value, you should place separate orders, each within the limit.

Floret LLC has no control over additional fees and is not responsible for confiscated items, delayed orders, or any additional duties or taxes that may be imposed by your country’s customs office or other government agencies.

Packages returned to Floret due to a failure or refusal to pay the duties or taxes are ineligible for a refund of shipping fees and will be subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Due to export restrictions we are NOT able to ship the following products to Australia or Canada.
