Product Description

Silene 'Blushing Lanterns' 
Silene vulgaris

Tall wispy grey-green stems are covered in miniature pale green balloon-like pods veined with blush. As pods mature they open to reveal snow white petals. Once petals drop, pods remain. A romantic and feminine addition to arrangements. This extremely productive variety blooms abundantly from early summer through autumn. A must grow for wedding work.

Height: 18-30”
Site: full sun
Days to maturity: 120 days
Plant spacing: 12”
Pinch: not necessary
Approx seeds per packet: 200

How to Grow: 
Start seed indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost; sow seeds indoors in trays and transplant once weather has warmed.

Harvesting/Vase Life:
Can be harvested at any stage and cut stems last 7-10 days in the vase.
