Bachelor’s Buttons Classic Magic
Bachelor's Buttons 'Classic Magic'
A refreshing new take on an old classic, this eye-catching mix of black, deep plum, plus purple and white bicolor blooms tops our must grow list this year. Easy to grow, pollinator-friendly and a great choice for beginners, Bachelor’s Buttons will flower over a long period of time if regularly harvested.
Plant type: annual
Site: full sun
Days to maturity: 65-80 days
Plant spacing: 12”
Pinch: not necessary
Approx seeds per packet: 100
How to Grow:
Cold tolerant; plants dislike being transplanted so direct seed into the garden in fall or early spring. For an extended harvest, sow two plantings, one month apart.
Harvest individual flowers when buds are about half way open, or harvest large branching stems when most of the buds in the spray are colored. Expect a vase life of 7 days.
