Black Eyed Susan Chim Chiminee

Product Description
Black Eyed Susan 'Chim Chiminee'
Rudbeckia hirta
This is a rust-toned mix of my favorite late summer-early autumn bloomers. The large flower heads and fuzzy quilled petals are striking in shades of chocolate, bronze, rust red, gold and burnt orange. These abundant bloomers really shine when mixed with amaranth and grasses.
Details:
Plant type: annual
Height: 24-30”
Site: full sun
Days to maturity: 100-120 days
Plant spacing: 12”
Pinch: not necessary
Approx seeds per packet: 50
How to Grow:
Start seed indoors in trays 8-10 weeks before last frost; transplant out after all danger of frost has passed.
Harvesting/Vase Life:
Harvest when flowers are beginning to open and a 7-10 day vase life can be expected. Rudbeckias are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life add a few drops of bleach to the water.
