Product Description

Pansy 'Chianti Mix'
Viola x wittrockiana

The ruffled blooms on this lovely feminine mix have a beautiful antique appearance. Colors range in varying shades of raspberry, peach, rose-blush and pale lemon-yellow. Flowers have contrasting dark faces, and some petals are even striped. This versatile mix is perfect for flower arranging because the muted earthy tones mix well with so many colors.

Details:
Plant type: annual
Height: 10-13”
Site: full sun
Days to maturity: 80-90 days
Plant spacing: 6”
Pinch: not necessary
Approx seeds per packet: 25

How to Grow:
Start seed indoors in trays 8-12 weeks before last frost. Seeds require darkness to germinate, so lightly cover. Pansies can withstand light frost, so cold climate gardeners can pick a transplant date that is about 2 weeks before the last frost date.

Harvesting/Vase Life:
Pick when flowers are starting to open. A vase life of 5-7 days can be expected with flower food. Stems lengthen over time.
