Pansy Nature Antique Shades
Pansy ‘Nature Antique Shades’
Viola x wittrockiana
This garden treasure unfurls rich cranberry-rose blooms that fade to smokey peach and at last to light apricot. ‘Nature Antique Shades’ would make a lovely pairing with ‘Gem Apricot Antique’ violas. In fact, with so much color variation, it looks like a mix by itself. This healthy, easy-to-grow annual is a must for the garden!
Plant type: annual
Site: full sun
Days to maturity: 80-90 days
Plant spacing: 6”
Pinch: not necessary
Approx seeds per packet: 25
How to Grow:
Start seed indoors in trays 10-12 weeks before last frost. Seeds require darkness to germinate so lightly cover. Pansies can withstand light frost, so cold climate gardeners can pick a transplant date that is about 2 weeks before the last frost date.
Pick when flowers are starting to open. A vase life of 5-7 days can be expected with flower food. Stems lengthen over time.
