Snapdragon 'Madame Butterfly Dark Red'
Antirrhinum majus

Often referred to as azalea snapdragons, these double-petaled beauties are adored for their pleasant perfume, coveted rich velvet-red color and long-lasting blooms. Because the tight shape is difficult for insects to pollinate, blooms last longer in the vase than other single flowered snapdragons.

How to Grow:
Start seed indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost and transplant once weather has warmed.

Harvesting/Vase Life:
Snapdragons should be harvested early, before they can be pollinated by insects, when just the bottom 2-3 flowers are open. Expected vase life is 7-10 days and flower food is recommended.
