Zinnia Golden Hour
Zinnia 'Golden Hour'
Unfortunately 'Golden Hour' is not currently available. We are working hard to build up enough mother stock to offer it in the future.
This beautiful collection of warm buff, honey and soft apricot blooms started from two single plants we discovered in our fields. Over the years we’ve collected the seeds and selected out the palest antique melon shades. There’s nothing else like it on the market. This variety is named for our favorite time of day on the farm, the golden hour just before the sun sets on the horizon.
Plant type: annual
Site: full sun
Days to maturity: 75-90 days
Plant spacing: 9-12”
Pinch: when 12” tall
Approx seeds per packet: 50
How to Grow:
Start seed indoors in trays 4-6 weeks before last frost; transplant out after all danger of frost has passed. Zinnias can also be direct seeded once weather has warmed.
Grab the stem about 8” below the flower and gently shake. If the stem is droopy or bends much at all, it is not quite ready to cut. If the stem is stiff and remains erect, it is ready to harvest. If flower preservative is added to the water, zinnias should last 7-10 days in the vase.
